Meet the ADVENTURE'S Leader

Alice Retzinger
Alice has a long long history working with youth. She, as a Scouter, has been a Den Leader, Cub Camp Director and Round Table leader among other things. Outside of Scouting she worked as an assistant in the classroom and the visual art class. In her church she is active in the youth programs of the church. Alice has been recognized by Scouting with both the District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver, a national recognition.
Things that you will need.
- M&M or Skittles fun or snack size (or 48 pieces of random and varied colors)
- A piece of lined paper
- Ruler or straight edge
- Colored pencils, crayons or markers
- Scratch paper and pencil
- A code Wheel â¦Â Printout the Code Wheel:

- Small fastener to hold wheel together (optional) You can also use a push pin in cardboard, a dowel or even hold in your hand while turning.
Help your Scout will need from Mom or Dad (including guardians)
- Lion Scouts– Help making a graph during Adventure
- Tiger Scouts – Help making a graph during Adventure.
- Tiger Scouts - Help making and/or keeping score in a new game during Adventure or with family later – Tiger Elective "Games Tigers Play" - Requirement #4
- Wolf Scouts – Help playing a game that uses math to keep score during Adventure (Diceopoly) or at home later - Wolf Elective "Code of the Wolf" - Requirement 1A
- Wolf Scouts - Help doing one more requirement from the Wolf Elective "Code of the Wolf" 1. Requirement #1B (play a game of “Go Fish for 10s) 2. OR Requirement #1C (Do five activities that use math)
- Bear Scouts – Help discuss what happened when playing a challenge game involving math – Bear Elective "Grin and Bear It" Requirement #1
- Zoom meeting information. This will be shown on the registration's email conformation sent to you by the Golden Empire Council, BSA.
Moving forward and upward - Get you handbook signed off by your mom, dad, guardian or your leader.
- Tiger Scouts - Games Tigers Play - Requirement #4
- Wolf Scouts– Code of the Wolf Requirements #1A, #2B, #3A and #4A will be done during Adventure.
- Wolf Scouts - Code of the Wolf Requirements #1B or #1C are to be done at home or school.
- Bear Scouts – Grin & Bear It - Requirement #1.
All Scouts - We will finish this Adventure by doing Wolf Elective " Code of the Wolf" -Requirements #2A and @2B at our next Adventure on September 16th.
Your Challenge
For Wolf Scouts only. Complete" Code of the Wolf" Elective requirement #1B or #1C with your mom, dad, guardian or Den Leader before the next Den meeting. Get it signed off in your handbook or workbook when you have finished.
For Tiger Scouts only Do the Tiger Elective "Curiosity, Intrigue and Magical Mysteries" Requirement #3, share it with your family. Have mom or dad sign-off in your handbook or workbook.
Challenge to All Scouts
Send a coded message to a friend or family member and them send a coded reply.
